Rent "Hugo" the electric Metropolitan for your next show of "Grease", or any other show requiring a vintage automobile.  Hugo is a 1955 Hudson Metropolitan convertable.  The car was nicknamed "Hugo" by the Owings Mills High School stagecrew.  See the restoration of Hugo at www.hansonmechanical.com under the 1955 metropolitan section.

-Hugo is 12 foot 6 inches long and 5 foot 2 inches wide.

-The car weighs in at around 1700 lbs.  

The car is fully electric with reverse gear and one forward gear on the column.

-The car has a 12 volt system for lights and horn and a 48 volt system for driving.

-Battery chargers are mounted inside the car.  Yup, it plugs in to the wall.

-You cannot carry this car to your stage.  Or flip it sideways.  

-We must have access through wide doors.  

-If the doors are off to the side of a hallway the hall must be at least 10 feet wide to swing the car in.

-Your school or theater must have proof of 1 million liability insurance. (almost everyone has this so do not panic!!)
